What’s the Job?

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead our big data efforts across our organization. You will be working closely with our product design teams to find solutions to data problems, ranging from data acquisition to exposing the data in our specialized platform. That will mean implementing and maintaining ETL, designing systems and tools to improve quality and delivery of data pipelines, and working with vendors to solve data issues. 

This is a leadership opportunity, where you will mentor and eventually manage junior engineers. We a Spark Scala shop, also heavy into Apache Flink. We love data engineers with various backgrounds though, so long as data engineering is your passion and you have a proven track record to show for it!

 

Who Are We?

 

We are a startup in the media analytics space. Our bread and butter is providing analytics on programmatic media, but we are growing into a one-stop shop for all things data analytics as we continue to expand. 

 

Compensation

 

• $120,000 - $140,000

• Equity

• Full Benefits including 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision

 

What Skills Do We Need?

 

• Must have experience or strong desire to lead a data engineering team

• ETL experience. specifically with  data processing systems such as Hadoop, Spark, Pig, or Flink

• Strong preference for programming knowledge in Go and Scala, must have knowledge in Java or C++ otherwise

• Must have experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as strong in either Python or Ruby
