What is the job?
We are looking for a Solutions Engineering Manager to join our team sitting in our New York City office. First starting out you will inherit a team of 4 Sr. Software Engineers. You will need to be Hands-On (50/50), but as the organization grows you will move more and more to the people and client management side of the job.
Your core responsibilities outside of management will include improving our ecosystem and code base. Your team will handle various projects providing complex engineering solutions for our platform and client integration.
Who are you?
You are an experienced Software Engineering Manager who is still hands on in the code. You ideally come from a Full-Stack Engineering background and bring strong skills in Python. You are eager to grow your people management skills and take a servant based approach to managing your team.
You are constantly looking for ways to make the lives of your engineers easier and have them operating seamlessly. You bring a resilient mentality, with the creativity to solve high pressure issues as they arise.

What technical expertise do you bring? In-depth knowledge of the following..
• Hands-on technical management
• Full-Stack Engineering: We are open to various technical backgrounds, but Python/Django is a major plus!
• Open source technologies such as: Python, Go, and React on the front-end
• Microservices: We use Docker containerization and Teamcity for CI/CD
• Linux
• Experience with Cython, NLP, Machine Learning, DevOps, ELK, scikit-learn and other various open source technologies are a major plus!
