Senior/Staff DevOps Engineer Contractor

Our client is a leading provider of end-to-end EMR, practice management and clinical solutions that enable applied behavior analysis (ABA) clinicians and educators to produce superior outcomes for people with autism. The company is revolutionizing the ABA space with cutting-edge solutions including precision teaching, clinical data collection, scheduling, billing, learning management, fully digital evidence-based programming and more.

They are looking for an experienced Sr. DevOps Engineer to join the team! Reporting to the Director, Engineering, you will be a trusted partner, working closely with our application developers and architects to build, automate, and support our application infrastructure and deployment processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead initiatives to completion and taking ownership
  • Maintaining and improving existing infrastructure
  • Enforcing best practices for security and reliability
  • Troubleshooting and resolving infrastructure issues
  • Automating recurring tasks
  • Maintaining and improving existing build and deployment processes – Increase flow!

Desired Skills and Experience:5-10+ years’ non-trivial, production-level experience: on a DevOps, software development, or infrastructure engineering role

  • Advanced knowledge of AWS and AWSCLI including:
  • Kinesis, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, EC2, VPC, EBS, ELB/ALB, SNS, SQS, S3, Elasticache, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, CloudFormation, Container Service and TerraForm
  • Docker and related orchestration technologies
  • Deploying .NET applications and websites
  • TeamCity or similar
  • Octopus Deploy or similar
  • Github, Bitbucket or similar
  • Jenkins, Bamboo or similar
  • Experience with SQL Server
  • Highly skilled in OS: Windows, Linux
  • Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, PowerShell
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Splunk and relevant capacity planning
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools
