My client, is looking for a super-talented Technical Database Infrastructure Engineer (7-10 yrs exp) to join one of the most recognizable Hedge Funds in the World for a full time hybrid opportunity in NYC; 3 days a week.

Prior Financial services / Hedge Fund expertise a plus !

As part of an ever-evolving entrepreneurial team, enthusiastic, friendly, communicative, and willing to share information, you will wear many different hats building and expanding on existing features and greenfield development on new features daily.

 

The Database Engineer will ensure the database is kept available, secure and stable. You will be responsible for ownership and building out the existing database environment, integration of database platforms and automation on Windows/Linux-based systems.workflows, while working hand and hand with a global team of DBA's.

 

What you need to be successful in this role:

• 7-10 years Database experience
• Superb knowledge of at least one database platform and working knowledge of others—i.e., SQL Server, Postgres, Redis, MongoDB, or Cassandra—is necessary
• Experience and proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, Java, as is working knowledge of networking protocols, information security concepts, and operating system internals.
• Demonstrated interest in how technology works and stays relevant with trends
• Possess super leadership, communication and organizational skills
• Must be a US Citizen or GC holder
• A BS/BA degree in a computer science, engineering, or related work experience

 

Extra Credit:

• Trading domain and order lifecycle management knowledge
• Financial Services Experience and strong understanding of the Hedge Fund space
