Asst Area Supervisor

Our customer in De Soto, Kansas is looking to add multiple Asst Area Supervisors in various construction departments within their newly awarded project. This will be a major production facility build for someone to come into and continue to grow their skillset within an important contributing role while also establishing leadership capabilities.

The Assistant AreaSupervisor assists the Area Managers by managing designated field activities associated with the project and supervising designated field construction work done by subcontractors and employees. The Assistant Area Supervisor assists the project team to ensure the project is built on time, within budget, and safely in accordance with policies, procedures.
Also the Assistant
Area Supervisor shall assist in coordinating all parties such as owner, authorities, suppliers, subcontractors, licensors and other related parties to achieve the project completion in timely and quality manner.

  • Associates Degree in Construction Management, or a related field preferred especially for civil & building work for the factory construction, or a combination of experience and education.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the industrial/construction field.
  • Industrial construction or/and mechanical installation experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Working knowledge of construction contract language and terms
  • Ability to make decisions under tight deadlines.
  • Show attention to detail in all aspects of the job and have creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to organize people, tools, and equipment and plan/manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results.
  • Working knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA safety standards.
  • Exhibits commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and making necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting or exceeding internal and external customer expectations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook).
  • Requires skills for reporting such as daily logs, monthly reports, etc. as well as clarification and update of progress reports.
