DESCRIPTION I HIRING STANDARDS
Introduction: Performs Quality Verification Inspections, and a myriad of other functions to ensure the effectiveness of
the Quality Management System. Quality inspectors are responsible for assuring that manufactured items are made and assembled correctly, and to program standards, safety regulations and customer satisfaction. Inspectors sample, test, weigh, measure and inspect raw materials, manufactured components, completed products, and program delivery processes. Quality department is responsible for training, security, and program safety.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate personnel engaged in maintenance, inspection, repair, and any work associated with program deliverables.
Reviews operating procedures, technical manuals, and production schedules to determine method of conducting inspections and audits, sequence of operations, and work assignments to assure all procedures are being done correctly.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of equipment is recorded, tracked, and performed.
Perform material I kit audits to insure accountability, integrity, and accuracy of processes and procedures.
Conducts in-progress, in-coming, verification, visual, periodic, and no notice inspections on program objectives. Ensures that product meets customer and program specifications and quality requirements.
Documents and records deficiency findings and initiates and monitors corrective actions and process improvement procedures.
Reviews reports and confers with quality team members, production, logistics, and management personnel to solve work-related problems.
Responsible for conducting program required training. Training occurs as program necessitates.
Audits and monitors quality requirements in accordance with program quality assurance policies and customer specifications.
Able to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
Initiates necessary paperwork and record, store, and secure historical data.
Assist other departments as necessary and accomplish any task assigned by quality manager Qualification, Education, Training & Certifications
Must have graduated high school or equivalent.
Minimum five (5) years production experience in aircraft environment
Minimum five (3) years Quality Control experience
Acceptable Comprehension (read & write) of English Language
Competent with Microsoft word and excel
Certified ISO 9001 :2000 internal auditor a plus
