People Operations Manager

Overview:

Our client builds artificial intelligence applications that read and write to accelerate our understanding of the world.  They analyze the ever-growing volume of digital text to uncover unseen connections, discover insights, and automatically generate reports with graphics.

 As a People Operations Manager with our client, your main responsibility will be care taking our client’s most valuable asset, it’s employees. This is our first dedicated HR hire, and as such, you will make core contributions to shaping the structure of the HR processes and our company culture.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in HR or related fields (PHR or SPHR a plus)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Rapid growing startup experience
  • Passion for promoting culture and company values
  • Passion for developing employee engagement programs
  • Experience optimizing employee satisfaction
  • Experience providing a safe place for employees to receive sage advice on issues ranging from employee conflicts to career guidance
  • Knowledge and understanding of California and federal employment law
  • Experience developing and managing employee feedback/ performance reviews
  • Experience coaching new managers
