Our client’s Interactive team puts user experience first. Our aim is to leave customers feeling more inspired, engaged and productive. The Visualization Engineer balances design and development to bring innovative concepts to life.
At heart, this role combines design sensibilities and technical know-how to develop both novel product features and interactive visualizations for external audiences. You'll work with teams to define and deliver interfaces that combine exploratory data analysis with explanatory insights. An eye for detail is critical as you iterate on complex interactions, animations and visualizations. Experience with performance optimization and responsive design will ensure data-driven, visual components that work fluidly across a variety of contexts.
Several additional responsibilities move beyond UX engineering. You will build a deep understanding of our internal data models by querying and transforming analysis results. You will participate in the creation and support of data visualization standards and best practices across the company. You will explore emerging technologies and recommend their adoption.
Our client uses machine learning and natural language processing, along with a healthy dose of secret sauce, to automate the analysis of very large data sets. Our software crunches through the data to help our customers understand the world around them -- whether it is a stock they are tracking or an emerging geo-political event in a far flung part of the world. Our customers include analysts at some of the world’s largest corporations, financial institutions, and government agencies.
