The demonstrable ability to react to a disruption – whether a natural disaster, technological event, or a pandemic - evidences our Client’s commitment to delivering for their Customers and backing their Colleagues, even when the unexpected occurs.

This means having validated strategies to ensure their operations can adapt quickly – activating people, facilities, technology, and third-party relationships to get the job done. The Enterprise Resilience team supervises this coordinated planning and preparedness globally.
The Manager will serve as the primary liaison with departments and matrixed teams throughout the company to ensure engagement and accountability for BCM planning and preparedness by first-line operational risk teams. It is a key role on the team. You will have a global view into operations across the Company and will collaborate with many teams, including Centers of Excellence in the Technology organization (e.g. Disaster Recovery and Technology Risk) and Third-Party Lifecycle Management. The successful candidate will:
- Serve as an inspiring leader to enable first line business teams to build effective strategies to ensure continuity of operations,
- Create and deliver clear and thorough training to ensure understanding of program requirements and expectations,
- Manage a team of one-two analysts in support of program goals, and
- Synthesize feedback on the program and incorporate it into continuous improvements by working with the capabilities team to shape the tooling roadmap and data strategy.

Qualifications Desired:

- Three to six years professional experience with large-scale business continuity (continuity of operations) programs (corporate or government), including:

  • A demonstrated ability to write continuity plans and conduct continuity exercises: you’ve walked the walk and know what good looks like
  • o Success at implementing program improvements and enhancements: to build followership and be a change agent
  • o Ability to integrate business priorities and collaborate: to find connection points and break down silos. Experience working with specialists focused on technological resilience is a plus.

    - Bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.

    - Applicable certifications in business continuity, crisis management, information security, and/or information technology is desirable (e.g. DRI, FEMA).

    Functional Skills/Capabilities:

    Must have a demonstrated ability to perform analysis using spreadsheets and report findings in written reports to various audiences and partners, including external regulators. Must have experience delivering presentations and facilitating meetings. Familiarity with core concepts and an operational risk mentality is important.

    Technical Skills/Capabilities:

    Must demonstrate an understanding of the role information technology and applications have in business operations and business continuity.

    Behavioral Skills/Capabilities:

    Successful candidate must be self-motivated and comfortable (re)prioritizing as it can be all hands-on deck when the situation requires it. An ability to influence and build followership across a range of partners will be important to drive progress and deliver results. Prior experience in successful people leadership not required but a plus.
