We are recruiting a remote Creative / Art Directoron behalf of a specialized wine and spirits importer, exporter, broker, producer, and distributor headquartered in Lake Charles, LA. The company operates in the alcoholic beverage industry with a strong focus on premium wines and spirits across domestic and international markets.

As the Creative / Art Director, you'll be responsible for using your  deep creative instincts and hands-on design expertise to lead the visual development of wine and spirits brands from concept to shelf. You will create original brand worlds—labels, packaging systems, and presentation materials—that balance creativity, commercial awareness, and production reality.

Position Offers:

• Pay: Up to $135k base salary + performance-based bonus opportunity. If your target pay is higher, we still encourage you to apply—we could request adjustments based on experience and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end creative development for wine and spirits branding, including labels, packaging systems, and line extensions.
• Develop retailer-specific design concepts for private label and exclusive brand pitches.
• Translate strategic briefs into compelling visual narratives and shelf-ready executions.
• Design across multiple styles and price tiers (value, premium, luxury).
• Collaborate closely with sourcing, commercial, compliance, and production teams.
• Prepare high-impact pitch decks and presentations for retailer meetings.
• Manage external designers, illustrators, and agencies when needed.
• Stay current on design, packaging, and wine & spirits market trends, and report out on market trends.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in branding and packaging design, ideally within wine, spirits, or premium CPG.
• Proven experience designing wine and/or spirits labels (portfolio required).
• Strong understanding of retail environments, shelf impact, and consumer behavior.
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
• Ability to balance creative vision with speed, pragmatism, and scalability.
• Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple projects at a time.
• Genuine enthusiasm for wine, spirits, and brand storytelling.
