Our client operates nationwide, spanning across commercial and utility-scale solar/wind projects and large-scale power generation and energy storage assets.

Responsibilities:

  • Articulate a vision for safety excellence, setting strategic goals to meet company expectations of safety excellence.
  • Cultivate a culture of safety excellence by engaging and empowering employees at all levels to take ownership of safety practices.
  • Partner with executives, leaders, technicians to drive change for both fleet safety and occupational safety.
  • Use statistics and data to apply a risk-management approach to focus the safety team to drive change through leading indicators.
  • Design workflows that will generate the data needed to inform best practices, results.
  • Produce policies, programs and initiatives to promote the safety program, improve the company's safety record, safety culture in the field and correct identified deficiencies.
  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that all health, safety, and environmental programs are designed to be compliant with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic safety audits/inspections at jobsites to ensure compliance and support.
  • Manage company onboarding process with regards to safety and environmental reporting.
  • Drive consistency and standardization of safety programs.
  • Work with Learning and Development to ensure all current federal, state, OSHA and other regulations are up to date and training material meets the standards.
  • Prepare and present to the senior leadership team on health and safety initiatives and performance metrics.
  • Respond immediately to take control of major incidents on job sites. Lead the investigation with the safety committee for all major incidents.
  • Perform investigations, including root cause analysis, and prepare detailed records of incidents.
  • Case management with each incident to ensure the company is reporting properly to OSHA or other required state or federal agencies. Ensure each case is properly managed.
  • Lead injury management eHorts to ensure injured employees receive the appropriate medical treatment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering or a related field.
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • Capable of travel up to 25%
  • Proven Leadership in Safety Management.
  • Expertise in Predictive Analytics.

  • Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations and compliance requirements.
