We’re seeking Cooling Tower Technicians to join a mechanical services team in Mountainside, New Jersey — 30 miles southwest of NYC. In this hands-on role, you’ll perform maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations on cooling towers while working closely with a field crew each day. This is a long-term career opportunity with training, growth, and stability — ideal for mechanically inclined technicians of all skill levels. Position Offers Up to $30/hr, depending on experience. State-certified 3-year apprenticeship + manufacturer training Company truck dispatched from shop daily Stable, recession-resistant trade with long-term advancement potential Opportunity for long term career growth What You’ll Do Maintain clean and organized tools, trucks, and gang boxes Perform daily maintenance tasks including cleaning, greasing bearings, and oil changes Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair cooling tower mechanical systems Install new equipment per manufacturer specifications Work in a field crew to complete assigned work effectively and safely Respond to emergency service needs as required Adhere to all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety standards Maintain professional communication with team members and customers Requirements 2–4 years mechanical/HVAC/plumbing experience or trade school equivalent OSHA-30 required Valid driver's license Ability to read manuals, diagrams, procedures, and safety documentation Ability to write basic service notes, reports, and job status updates Strong mechanical aptitude — hand tools & power tools required Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, climb to 24 ft, kneel, crouch, crawl, and stand for extended periods Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment, heat, humidity, heights, and noise Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook, reporting apps) Application Process If your experience matches the description above, submit your resume, and one of our recruiters will be in touch to tell you more about the position and learn more about your experience and aspirations.
