National Sales Manager

Bemana is helping hire for a National Sales Manager for a global leader in specialized electric motor solutions for small and large complex electric motor applications.

We’re looking for a hands-on, relationship-driven National Sales Manager to lead and grow our OEM sales through a network of independent manufacturer’s representatives across the U.S. This role is critical in expanding our presence in the industrial OEM space, especially through motor shops and distribution channels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and support a nationwide network of independent manufacturer’s representatives (both single and multi-person rep firms) across varying territories.

 

  • Build and manage rep relationships focused on selling motors into industrial OEM channels.

  • Travel with representatives to visit end users, motor shops, and OEM customers to drive demand and close deals.

  • Develop and expand distribution channels through motor shops and other key partners.

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard new rep firms as the company expands, with a focus on territories east of the Mississippi.

  • Provide reps with training, sales tools, and technical support to help them succeed.

  • Monitor performance metrics and provide strategic direction and coaching to reps to meet territory goals.

  • Collaborate internally with engineering, customer service, and operations teams to ensure smooth customer experience.

  • Report on sales activity, pipeline development, and market feedback.

Work Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in sales or sales management, preferably in the electric motor or power transmission industry.

 

  • Experience managing independent rep networks or channel sales preferred.

  • Knowledge of industrial OEM markets and how to sell through motor shops and distribution.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Comfortable being on the road regularly

  • Proven ability to work independently and remotely.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and hands-on.
