Project Manager / Scrum Master Job Summary

Our Kirkland, WA based startup is looking for a driven self-starter, to guide our dynamic and cross functional development team towards their goals. We are seeking a candidate who is a proven leader, thinks critically and is a strong problem-solver, and above all has a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met.

Project Manager / Scrum Master Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a leader to our software development team, and guide them through self-organizing to meet our customers' needs
  • Oversee milestones related to design, implementation, QA, and release schedules
  • Adapt quickly to changing environmental needs, and keep the team on point with achieving stakeholder goals.
  • Create project outlines and timelines and distribute responsibilities to team members
  • Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
  • Shape team behavior through excellent management and implementation framework
  • Monitor team health using periodic checks to maintain and/or increase team performance.
  • Identify project obstacles, and develop solutions with team to remove them.
  • Ability to rapidly prioritize competing requirements.
  • Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners
  • Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders
  • Take responsibility for successful product delivery

Project Manager / Scrum Master Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required
  • Scrum Master certification or other agile methodology certifications
  • 2-5 years experience in information technology (IT) project management
  • DevOps experience is a plus
  • PMP Certifications is a plus
