Project Manager

Project Managers lead projects throughout all phases including design, documentation, plan check and construction administration. The PMs play a significant external role, working closely with key client and agency contacts. PMs also manage the internal architectural support team, delegate responsibilities appropriately and are ultimately responsible for the success and budget of the project.

Project Managers must have a license and degree in Architecture plus at least 8 years’ experience. PMs must demonstrate full technical understanding of construction documentation, detailing, code analysis, and specifications for multiple construction types. Strong communication and management skills are a necessity to be successful with both clients and internal teams. They only want to work with people who strive to learn and who support the growth of others. Revit experience is a must, proficiency with Microsoft Office products preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and lead all phases of project development, including design/construction documentation, plan check, and construction administration Manage architectural support team and coordination of consultants.
  • Review design/construction documentation for completeness, code compliance, and quality assurance
  • Play a key external role including meeting with Clients, Superintendents, and Board Members while leading all planning, construction and agency meetings.
  • Ensure site surveys are delegated and completed by others efficiently and on schedule.
  • Develop fee proposals, project schedules, work plans, and conceptual cost estimates.
  • Manage project budget and resources to better ensure overall project success.

Qualifications and Required Attributes:

  • License in Architecture required
  • Degree in Architecture required
  • 8+ years’ experience (with at least 3+ years’ experience in similar PM role)
  • Familiarity with Revit
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office and Bluebeam
  • Experience working on K-12 Education or Healthcare projects
  • Experience with the DSA  or OSHPD and other regulatory agencies’ process, including agency submittals
  • Full technical understanding and experience with construction documentation, including detailing, code analysis, and specifications for multiple construction types
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative team attitude
  • Excellent communication and management skills
  • Strong desire to grow professionally, learn new things and advance in architecture field
