REGIONAL SALES MANAGER

On Behalf of our Client, we are looking for Regional Sales Manager (RSM) who will be responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration within the assigned region. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in rural/agri-based sales, with a strong understanding of farmer behavior, dealer networks and agricultural input product dynamics like tractors, seeds and fertilizers.

Location: Arusha, Dodoma, Mbeya and Dar es Salaam
Industry Focus: Tractor, Agriculture Equipment, Seeds, Fertilizers and Agro-Inputs

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional sales strategies aligned with company goals to achieve revenue and market share targets.
  • Manage, guide, and motivate the regional sales team to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, agro-vets, cooperatives, agri-based institutions and other channel partners.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, including organizing field demos, farmers meet and training programs.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to proactively adjust strategies and stay competitive.
  • Ensure effective execution of promotional campaigns, product launches, and branding initiatives in rural markets.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, product development, supply chain and finance teams for seamless regional operations.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, field visits, and territory mapping to monitor team productivity and territory health.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through timely service, product availability and addressing complaints or feedback.
  • Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts and pipeline tracking through CRM systems and regular dashboards.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Agriculture, Agri-Economics, or related field.
  • MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
  • 6+ years of progressive sales experience in tractors, agri-inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides), or rural/agro-equipment industries.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory or regional sales leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading high-performing field teams.
  • Strong network across agri-dealers, distributors, and rural customer channels.
  • The role requires extensive field travel across the assigned region to monitor performance and engage with customers and dealers.
