We are looking for an experienced Accountant to oversee and manage financial aspects related to our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, cost analysis, and financial reporting within the manufacturing sector.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Experience: Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with a focus on manufacturing.

Location: Iringa, Tanzania

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct regular cost analysis for manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop manufacturing budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with overall financial goals.
• Analyze and report on variances between actual and budgeted manufacturing costs, providing insights to support decision-making.
• Oversee the accuracy of inventory valuation and reconciliation, working closely with supply chain and production teams.
• Lead the month-end closing process for manufacturing-related financial activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and present financial reports related to manufacturing performance to management, highlighting key metrics and trends.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements in manufacturing accounting practices.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in manufacturing accounting procedures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and finance, to gather relevant information and support decision-making.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably with a focus on manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles and manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
