We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Supermarket Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of accounting skills, technical proficiency, IT knowledge, and managerial experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory levels, and achieving sales targets.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.

Experience: Proven experience in supermarket management or similar role with IT Knowledge is an Advantage

Location: Dodoma, Tanzania

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the supermarket, including staff management, customer service, and inventory control.
• Ensure efficient and effective use of resources to maximize profitability.
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase revenue.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely restocking.
• Able to Train and supervise staff to deliver high-quality customer service and maintain store cleanliness.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and timely manner.
• Manage cash handling procedures, including reconciling cash drawers and preparing bank deposits.
• Utilize accounting skills to maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports as required.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a positive work environment and foster teamwork among staff members.
• Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business strategies and initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in supermarket management or retail management.
• Strong accounting skills and proficiency in financial management.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and Swahili.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
