On behalf of our client, we are looking for a Logistics & Procurement Manager & Stock Controller, who will Be a team player and work hard to be aligned with the company culture of cooperation, friendliness, and professionalism and also Implement a computerized procurement, logistics and stock count system for the main office and the lodges


Duties

  • Do what is asked of you by management, even if it falls outside of your job description
  • Point of contact between all suppliers and the lodges
  • Plan shipments of all domestic and imported goods

  • Thorough knowledge of inventory management and the supply chain
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Business correspondence to lodges and suppliers in a professional way that best represents the company
  • Ability to effectively communicate information orally and in written correspondence and generate accurate reports for management.
  • Cross functional experience in Accounting, stock taking and logistics
  • Experience with logistics and stock control software systems
  • Must function well under pressure
  • Strong Microsoft Suite skills required
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedures
  • Ability to write reports
  • Prioritize and manage several tasks simultaneously

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Ensure a high level of customer service to the lodges at all times
  • Report any damages or repairs needed to management immediately
  • Negotiate the best terms and accounts with suppliers
  • Sourcing of the best product that is available consistently for all lodge operational items, food and beverage, maintenance etc.
  • Plan shipments of domestic goods
  • Optimize use of all available resources by ensuring trailers and containers are cubed efficiently
  • Ensure on time and complete bi-weekly deliveries to the lodges
  • Communicate shipment activity to internal departments and to suppliers
  • Route shipments to maximize cost savings
  • Ensure timely availability of product for the lodges
  • Provide daily updates to management and the lodges in enough detail
  • Verify proper credit and sales approvals are in place
  • Monitoring all stock and ensuring that all stock is held to the highest standard and correct quantities
  • Provide appropriate documentation of all items delivered to the lodges. Ensure that lodges receive and sign for all stock
  • Review and approve supplier invoices when receiving goods to be consolidated and sent to lodges bi-weekly.
  • Track and determine the most cost-efficient way of expediting deliveries to the lodge – procurement of the company’s own small truck OR seasonal rental of a truck
  • Truck to be refrigerated
  • Assist lodges with monthly stock count, inventory accuracy and analysis – ensure month end stock count is sent from lodge management each month
  • Plot monthly trends for management to review by conducting continual analysis and evaluation of strategic information (including freight costs, revenues, margins and manufacturing)
  • Manage day to day operations in purchasing, receiving, warehousing, par stock quantities and deliveries
