We are seeking a skilled Coal Drill Operator to manage and execute drilling operations in coal extraction projects. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in operating drilling equipment while prioritizing safety and efficiency in coal mining activities.

Education: A diploma / Degree is required

Experience: Proven experience as a Coal Drill Operator or similar role

Location: Dar es Salaam

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate and maintain drilling equipment used in coal extraction and exploration.
• Monitor drilling progress and make adjustments to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols and regulations throughout all drilling operations.
• Collaborate with engineering and geology teams to interpret data and refine drilling strategies.
• Perform routine maintenance on drilling machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Execute drilling operations following predetermined plans and specifications.
• Conduct regular inspections of drilling equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure functionality.
• Interpret geological data and reports to make informed decisions during drilling operations.
• Collaborate with geologists and engineering teams to optimize drilling strategies based on coal formations.
• Handle and manage drilling fluids and materials required for coal drilling operations.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal drilling locations within coal deposits.
• Assist in the assembly and disassembly of drilling rigs and related equipment specific to coal drilling.

 

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as a Coal Drill Operator or similar role in coal mining operations.
• Diploma / Degree in mining or similar qualification
• Proficiency in operating drilling equipment and machinery specific to coal extraction.
• Thorough understanding of safety procedures and regulations in coal mining activities.
• Ability to analyze and interpret drilling data for decision-making purposes.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in operational tasks.
