On behalf of our client, we need a Tracking Officer who will be Responsible for tracking each vehicle at regular intervals as it moves from its origin to its destination along the suggested route. Coordinate with the truck driver, the team, and transport authorities to update real-time information on the system.

Education: Diploma/degree in IT or any related field.

Experience: Proven experience of 2 – 3 years of working experience in tracking department or related field

Location: Dar es Salaam

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES;

• Send reports to the Operations team for truck allocation
• Daily reporting on the status of trucks to the Finance, Stores, and Operations team
• Prepare a Truck movement report every morning and evening to show the status of trucks (e.g
• empty)
• Coordinates with tracking company for repair and maintenance of the devices
• Sends current status reports of trucks to all clients received from the Operations department.
• Report on turn around time of trucks to know loss time and Financing
• Monitoring of vehicles for overspeeding, harsh brakes, accidents, etc
• Should be conversant with fleet details.
• Updating truck status while on the way.
• Providing clear truck information at the right time.
• Updates the operations and workshop team on the status of the breakdown status.
• Keep updated with the GPS systems installed.
• Updates on Customer reports daily.
• Send tracking update reports 2 times per day.
• Follow up with the workshop team for the maintenance status of breakdown trucks.
• Any other jobs assigned from time to time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Familiarity with monitoring vehicle performance, and demonstrating a proactive approach to vehicle safety and maintenance.
• Diploma/degree in IT or any related field
• Proven experience of 2 – 3 years of working experience in tracking department or related field
• Ability to maintain and update fleet details, including real-time updates on truck status while in transit.
• Excellent communication skills to provide clear and timely information to clients, operations, and workshop teams.
• Proficiency in utilizing GPS systems for tracking and monitoring vehicle movements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in customer reports and tracking updates sent multiple times daily.
• Experience in following up with workshop teams for the maintenance status of breakdown trucks
• Flexibility and adaptability to handle various tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
