Our client is an established Landscape Design/Build company that has been servicing the Chicago residential market for 20 years. They are looking to hire a Sales Representative to sell outdoor living solutions to high end residential clients.
The Sales Representative will be responsible for following up on company generated leads with residential clients who are interested to make improvements to their outdoor living space.
They will meet with potential clients, define the scope of work, take measurements, identify and document site conditions, define goals, budgets and timelines and will create a file within the internal client portal system.
They will produce hand sketches for the client to review in order to define the overall direction of the project. They will then meet with the internal landscape designer who will be responsible for actual AutoCad and 3D rendering, will work with the estimators to define the total project cost and will then schedule a meeting with the client in order to gain their approval via signing a contract.
Once the client has signed the agreement to engage the company, this position will transition the project to the fulfillment team and the Sales Representative will be responsible for monitoring the progress with project inspections and identify selling add ons.
This position is responsible for selling the construction services which includes landscape, drainage, hardscape, pool decks, fire pits, in-ground pools, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, outdoor lighting and other outdoor living features.
The first year sales target is $1.5million and project can range from $100k -$350k and more. The company is receiving 20-30 leads per week and over 1000 leads during the season and the company has very positive reviews online.
Following up on leads generated by the company to qualify the opportunity
Establish rapport with the client in order to generate a positive relationship
Assist client in defining their goals of the project
Assist client with defining the budget for the project
Propose designs for the client to evaluate in order to come to an agreement on the scope.
Work with internal designer and estimator and reach a signed agreement and deposit from the client.
Work with internal resources to meet timelines as it relates to the proposal and designs.
Transition the project to the Fulfillment team who will be in charge of building the project.
Monitor progress and Inspect quality of the projects through the construction cycle and handle any change orders that can materially affect the original scope of the project.

The annual base salary based upon experience and offset by a strong commission program.
Commissions are based on Gross Sales and range from 5-6%. Commissions are paid at Contract Signature and when the project is completed
