We are seeking an accomplished Operations Manager responsible for establishing and managing North American operations, including logistical and back-office functions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-functionally and cross-culturally with stakeholders in different countries.
What you get to do in this role:
- Work with our U.S. and overseas team to scope and build out our U.S.-based operations, logistical, and back-office function teams
- Develop a plan for setting up operations for our U.S. organization and necessary move requirements
- Determine the optimal operations setup based upon financials, strategy, and timeline requirements
- Build and manage back-office teams to include, but not limited to, customer service, logistics, and warehouse (if applicable)
- Work with regulatory to ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, FDA, and any other necessary regulations or regulatory bodies
- Manage operations directly or through a 3PL relationship
- Lead cross-functional groups that work on an international team
- Lead conference calls for project management and new facility implementation team
- Recruit, hire, and train team members as appropriate
Work environment:
- Frequent standing and walking
- Sitting occasionally to frequent
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to travel at least 20% of the time
Skills and experiences that we seek:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 5+ years of experience leading the operations function to a high degree of operational excellence including modernizing processes and continuous improvement efforts that drive significant EBITA improvement
- Experience supervising others (preferred)
- Proficiency in use of desktop software applications such as MS Office and project management applications
To be successful, you have:
- A proven self-starter with good logic skills
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit, leads by example, with high involvement
- Proven track record of driving change across value streams and demonstrated ability to be an effective change agent within the organization (preferred)
- Strong cross-functional collaboration, including successfully working with an international team
- Outstanding project management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate workflow, while rolling up sleeves to contribute value
- Ability to work within a team environment to achieve agreed company goals
- Flexible approach, enthusiastic and confident
- Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the company, multi-task, and be comfortable with change
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, written and oral communication skills
- Cross-cultural experience (a strong plus)
