We are seeking an accomplished Medical Science Liaison Manager responsible for leading the MSL team on strategic, operational, and developmental projects. You will provide non-promotional medical support externally to ensure the safe and effective use of our client's devices, as well as serving in an individual contributor role across the West and Southern U.S.


What you get to do in this role:

  • Line management of US & Canada medical science liaison (MSL) team, driving, and leading colleagues as a senior member of the Global Medical Affairs team
  • Management of clinical trials and research activities in the U.S. and Canada
  • Provide medical input to the commercial success of the business, working closely with the Americas Commercial Leadership team and contributing to business plans
  • Support business strategies by the implementation of studies, supporting applications for Investigator-Initiated Research (IIR), management of advisory boards, interaction with clinical investigators, and other key activities
  • Provide high-quality, accurate, balanced, and relevant information to key customers and stakeholders in response to unsolicited requests for information
  • Development of partnerships with investigators, opinion leaders (KOLs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs)
  • Working closely and pro-actively with sales and marketing to assist market development (congresses, training, handling HCP queries, scientific input into marketing materials)

Input and attendance at congresses, medical educational programs, advisory boards, internal/external training

 

Work environment:

  • Domestic travel will equate to up to 40%
  • Typical office environment, with work, also performed in Science labs and hospital clinical environment

 

Skills and experiences that we seek:

  • Life Sciences degree, Ph.D., MD or Pharm D with a Medical/Clinical Focus
  • Minimum 2 years management experience in Medical Affairs/MSL role
  • Clinical experience with aerosol therapy, critical care, and/or respiratory care
  • Experience with presentations at scientific meetings and to HCPs

Knowledge in Microsoft Office applications for generating office documents, spreadsheets, project plans, etc.

  • Excellent presentation skills for conferences and training events
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to continually demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy
  • Good Clinical Practice and associated international requirements
  • Attention to detail in the creation, examination, and interpretation of clinical and scientific documentation
  • Ability to assess and organize resources, take an organized approach to handle a busy workload

 

Bonus If You:

  • Have a good command of written and spoken Spanish
  • Assisted in writing, submitting, and subsequent publication of peer-reviewed scientific manuscripts
