This hands-on role is a newly evolved position that will oversee the customer service and collections team for the company’s loan portfolio and will have the opportunity to grow with the company.  In addition to handling escalated customer service interactions, analyzing call data to improve call flow will be an integral part of the roleThis is a great opportunity to work in an established, rapidly growing, dynamic company.  Leadership is accomplished and well-respected.

 

What You’ll Tackle:

  • Provide strong leadership to staff while performing on a hands-on basis as appropriate
  • Closely monitor and manage key metrics to established targets and work closely with senior management to ensure the company meets target delinquency and other performance metrics
  • Manage inbound and outbound calls, texts and email communication with customers
  • Establish and maintain appropriate policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
  • Develop staff training programs to enhance the skills and performance levels of staff
  • Build and cultivate a strong culture of accountability and integrity among staff
  • Utilize technology to analyze and enhance the efficiency of operations
  • Perform strategic department planning and lead change initiatives including system enhancement and adoption
  • Skillful dispute resolution in handling difficult customers/situations
  • Actively monitor account issues and legal/regulatory matters and immediately escalate to senior management as appropriate
  • Other duties may be assigned

 

What’s Needed to Win

  • 5+ years of experience in managing collections in a B2C environment
  • Ability to fluently read, write and speak in Spanish
  • Knowledge of state and federal collections laws
  • Knowledge of high-volume collections
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong teams and interact with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to multi-task, manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for Windows (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Experience working with collection software (e.g., collection queues, collector performance management)
  • Critical thinking, mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proactive, high-energy approach
