Senior Manager, International Tax

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager of International Tax to join a global manufacturing leader, reporting to the Director of Tax. The Senior Manager of International Tax will manage international compliance, transaction work, tax technical analyses and support the company’s market tax teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains current knowledge of tax laws with a focus in the US international tax area
  • Works with Director to advise the company on business transactions/restructurings and works with team to analyze and document US tax implications
  • Ensures timely and accurate filing of US international tax returns (i.e., Forms 5471s, 8858, statements, elections, etc.) under a co-sourcing arrangement with a big four accounting firm
  • Reviews US international tax calculations and APB23 analysis for provision
  • Occasionally assists with certain transfer pricing projects/global tax analyses
  • Supports market tax teams with global tax issues including audits
  • Identifies and implements improvements to policies and processes
  • Utilizes a variety of programs, including tax compliance software, electronic research, and tax accounting software
  • Trains and provides mentoring to tax senior associates and interns
  • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • Masters in Taxation or CPA is highly preferred
  • At least 6 years of federal, state, local or international tax experience
  • At least 3 years leadership experience

Desired Skills:

  • Significant experience with US international taxation rules
  • Highly specialized area and preferred Masters of Tax
  • Accountancy/Accountancy and/or several years of experience in Tax at either a public accounting firm or a company
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • In-depth knowledge and experience, with an understanding of area of specialization (e.g., GILTI, E&P, Subpart F, etc.) and transactional work (e.g., tax-free reorgs, etc.)
  • Fully proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products with an efficiency in Excel
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Drives process improvement initiatives within the tax organization
  • Proficiency in Alteryx or data visualization tools is a plus
