Director of Compensation

As the Compensation Director, you will be responsible for managing the compensation programs. Reporting directly to the SVP of Compensation and working alongside the North American HR leaders, you will drive the development and execution of compensation programs throughout the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Development and implementation of competitive compensation processes enabling the organization to attract talent at the right price.
  • Managing compensation programs. Includes salary, merit increases, bonuses, and promotions.
  • Conduct appropriate salary benchmarking surveys
  • Assess market conditions and pay practices to ensure competitiveness of internal compensation levels and present findings to the team
  • Management of the job grading system
  • Develop appropriate job grading and salary levels for new positions.
  • Conduct training and education on compensation programs
  • Maintaining knowledge of current issues and laws related to compensation
  • Provide answers to colleague’s questions related to compensation
  • Ensuring compensation accuracy and maintaining accuracy

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree in HR or related field required
  • SPHR, CCP certification preferred.
  • 8+ years of compensation development and administration experience
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel, use of V-Lookups, charts/graphs, macros and pivot tables
  • Planning and project management skills
  • Strong systems capabilities
  • Consultative skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams

 

Targeting a base salary of 180,000-200,000 + annual bonus
