A Fortune 500 financial institution is hiring a Senior IT Auditor to their robust IT Audit team!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead audit project teams to conduct and document audits across the corporation
  • Conduct and document more complex and high-risk audits throughout the Corporation
  • Provide technical expertise and training/coaching to auditors within engagements
  • Work closely with Audit Managers to confirm scope of audits and devise appropriate testing approach to be performed during the engagement
  • Establish and develop strong working relationships and open communication with key stakeholders
  • Proactively manage expectations and hold others accountable for their assignments
  • Demonstrates professional skepticism and comfort with questioning how certain processes are being performed in order to facilitate making improvements
  • Conduct first level review of planning documents and finalize planning documents
  • Apply analytical skills to review information, perform assessments of the audit results, and evaluate the adequacy of controls
  • Works with the Audit engagement Manager to develop the audit objectives for the engagement
  • Assists with the development of the audit budget and/or timeframe for how the audit will be completed based on the objective and risk of the areas covered within the engagement
  • Review the work papers of the audit team members ensuring that departmental standards have been met
  • Communicate the audit status to business unit and Audit Services management
  • Draft findings and recommendations for the purpose of status updates, memos, and audit reports

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Certified Information System Audit (CISA) certification preferred
  • 3+ years of experience with IT audit procedures and technical security and control standards
  • Knowledge of systems software applications and databases common to the mainframe and distributed environments, such as UNIX, AS/400, and Windows
  • Experience performing tests of design and operational effectiveness of application controls
  • Strong analytical skills and workpaper documentation desired
