  • Request and review various deliverables from JV partner including financial statements, audit reports and checklists.

  • Prepare journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and analytics over significant account balances.

  • Review journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and analytics over significant account balances prepared by the staff accountant.

  • Calculate share of JV net income to record through equity earnings.

  • Prepare quarterly external reporting schedules.

  • Review quarterly financial statements and annual statutory reports prepared by a third-party service provider for international JV holding companies.

  • Partner with various colleagues including the Real Estate Finance and Tax teams.

  • Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects.

  • Contribute to compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley including documentation of process areas and testing of key controls.

  • Resolve inquiries from management and external auditors



  • 2-4 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or equivalent business/financial role required.

  • Supervisory responsibilities or other experience that requires ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals preferred.

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business required.

  • Master's degree in accounting, finance or business preferred.

  • Certified Public Accountant preferred.

  • Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office, required.

  • Financial ERP systems (Oracle and/or Hyperion) preferred.

  • Ability and willingness to operate in a complex and dynamic Corporate Environment.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
