Corporate Finance Associate
Our client is a Blackstone Company that helps real estate investment trusts and other real estate companies manage their operations more efficiently. They provide services like accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, technology, human resources, legal, and asset management. Their goal is to help their clients maximize their returns and make informed decisions about their real estate portfolios by using advanced technology and data analytics. They are currently seeking a Corporate Finance Associate to manage client relationships and handle accounting records for their portfolio of companies.

Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with portfolio companies, building trust while overseeing their accounting operations
- Prepare financial statements, monthly reconciliations, and budget to actual variance analysis
- Review balance sheet and income statement variances and prepare detailed analyses explaining the monthly and quarterly fluctuations
- Review accounts payable, invoices for the client, and weekly payments
- Assist AVP in daily accounting activities and month-end closing procedures
- Prepare the monthly expense allocation file
- Assist with the preparation of financial data for quarterly reporting, management, portfolio companies’, and Blackstone requests
- Build and maintain effective control processes
- Propose and assists in implementing change to current processes that may be identified as needing improvement
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a business-related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant finance or accounting experience
- General understanding of US GAAP
- CPA Certification preferred
- Data visualization experience (Tableau or Power BI) preferred
- Knowledge of Workday preferred
- Proficient in MS Office, accounting software, and databases
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills necessary
- Ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
