Responsibilities:

  • Administer weekly processing of timekeeping data and payroll
  • Process termination, relocation, and other special payrolls in keeping with company policies and state and local regulations
  • Confirm accurate deductions in payroll for benefits and 401(k)
  • Provide annual compensation planning support
  • Manage Special Payments Tracker, entering various special payments, auditing for accuracy and completeness
  • Notify Treasury team of wire funding needed for payrolls and provide Treasury team with reports of upcoming payroll amounts for cash flow management
  • Remain up to date on state laws regarding pay and leave administration. Advise of new regulations, recommend changes as needed, and assist with implementing changes to ensure compliance
  • Answer employee questions regarding payroll, timekeeping and compliance and escalate as necessary to seek resolution
  • Audit new hire set up and employee changes in Insperity Premier and TimeStar
  • Conduct audits to ensure correct pay codes and Paid Time Off (PTO) plans are accurate by position
  • Prepare cost projections for 401(k) employer contributions, payroll taxes, etc. for budgeting purposes
  • Develop and produce a variety of reports related to employee data, payroll, benefits, etc. according to reporting schedule

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 2 years payroll and timekeeping system experience
  • Workday or PEO experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
