We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, who will report to the Director, Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting. In this role, your responsibilities will encompass critical components of public company financial reporting and touch many different areas of the business. Responsibilities:
- Supports overall compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements
- Coordinates preparing and filing SEC reports, including Form 10Ks, 10Qs, 8Ks and other filings
- Gathers financial information necessary for the completion of SEC filings and required support
- Performs research and prepares technical accounting memos
- Supports analytic reviews of consolidated financial information
- Works with Investor Relations, Legal, and Corporate Communications, among other functions, in drafting earnings releases and ensuring the financial accuracy of analyst presentations
- Ensures compliance with applicable internal control standards
- Works closely with company external auditors and advisors
- Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned
- Master accounting policies and practices specific to the business
- Develop and lead initiatives for the financial reporting team that improve processes, drive innovation, and improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of timely and accurate financial results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, Master’s / MBA a plus
- CPA required
- Solid communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience working with clients in manufacturing and/or automotive is a plus
- Ideal candidate has BIG 4 experience as a Sr. Manager or above
- Experienced in ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers
- Experience working for, or in, a global business environment is strongly preferred
- Strong relationship-building skills with all levels of the organization, including communication with our parent company
- Excellent working knowledge of GAAP
- Experience drafting financial statement notes, MD&A, and associated SEC filing requirements
