Position Overview
The International Tax Supervisor will be working a hybrid work schedule and will be responsible for federal, state, local, and international tax compliance, tax accounting, audits, planning & analysis.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures timely and accurate filing of US international tax returns (i.e., Forms 5471s, 8858, statements, elections, etc.) and payment of taxes.
- Prepares US international tax calculations for provision and assists with compliance of global transfer pricing rules and documentation.
- Maintains current knowledge of tax laws with a focus in the US international tax area.
- Assists in tax audits and on business transactions as needed.
- Identifies and implements improvements to policies and processes.
- Utilizes a variety of programs, including tax compliance software, electronic research, and tax accounting software.
- May instruct, coach, or provide informal guidance to other professionals or colleagues with less experience.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree AND at least 4 years of federal, state, local or international tax experience
OR
- Master’s degree AND at least 2 years of federal, state, local or international tax experience
OR
- At least 6 years of federal, state, local or international tax experience
Additional Requirements
- The abilitly to work a hybrid work schedule (working both in-office and remotely)
- Role requires experience with US international taxation rules
- Highly specialized area and requires someone with a Masters of Tax Accountancy/Accountancy and/or several years of experience in Tax at either a public accounting firm or a company.
- Requires in-depth knowledge and experience, with a full understanding of area of specialization. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise.
Desired Skills
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- In-depth knowledge and experience, with an understanding of area of specialization (e.g., GILTI, E&P, FTC rules, etc.).
- Fully proficient in applying established standards, resolving a wide range of complex problems of diverse scope in innovative ways, including problems where precedent may not exist.
- Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products with an efficiency in Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Alteryx or data visualization tools is a plus
