A (very) Fast Growing Chicago area pharmaceutical company that has grown from a startup with a handful of employees into a multinational, multibillion dollar company with 1200+ employees is looking to hire a new Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics & Data Insights

As they scale and increase their product portfolio full of treatments for rare diseases, inflammation, ophthalmology, rheumatoid therapy, and more; they are building out their infrastructure. They are focused on creating a robust commercial analytics and pipeline forecasting team to make sure their products keep getting into the hands of the people that need it most. Senior Manager of Commercial Analytics & Data Insights

In this role you will be leading the creation and management of the brand forecast, development and evaluation of strategic initiatives, proactive and ad-hoc analytics, and supporting primary and secondary market research.

Specific Duties:

  • Oversee forecasting process leveraging primary and secondary data to construct accurate and actionable forecasts for all brands. Collect input and assumptions from various teams within the organization, including sales, marketing, and market access. Define opportunities and risks associated with the forecast.
  • Refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the commercial success of the brands, and track those indicators in a comprehensive brand dashboard. Establish standard cadence of KPI review. Synthesize data and insights to explain any deviation in performance from forecast, and suggest strategic levers to address these deviations.
  • Data analysis: Serve as a thought leader within the organization. Develop proactive and ad-hoc analyses, identifying additional insights from trends that impact the business. Identify and communicate new operational levers that can improve the business.

Skills we are looking for:

  • Degree in Analytics, Data Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Math or other quantitative discipline.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in data analysis, strategy consulting or other quantitative fields.
  • Experience in biotech / pharmaceuticals preferred but not required.
  • Direct experience with forecasting is a plus.
  • Expert at: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in: SQL, SAS, Access, and other analytical / reporting tools.
