Human Resources Administrative Assistant

Buckingham Search is working with a highly praised legal organization with providing quality legal services to add a Human Resources Administrative Assistant to their HR Team. This position brings administrative and secretarial support to several managers, directors, and teams in the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and organize complex activities such as meetings, travel, and video conferences.
  • Assist with logistics for lawyer and staff new hire orientation
  • Audit and scan corporate and local Chicago new hire paperwork
  • Maintain current electronic personnel files
  • Edit and create general correspondence, memos, charts, and presentations through Microsoft Word, Excel, PPT, and Visio.
  • Coordinate attestation process with local offices including in-person trips to consulate, secretary of state, county building, etc.
  • Assist with the health and welfare insurance renewal process
  • Assist in tasks such as lawyer performance appraisal tasks, and staff performance appraisal tasks
  • Assist with the preparation of meetings and presentations
  • Assist HR Operations with offer letters and weekly reports
  • Report on office attendance.
  • Assist with departing employee paperwork and logistics.
  • Assist insurance department with annual open enrollment tasks.
  • Assist in other HR operations as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PPT

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience with MS Visio
