Role Overview: We are in search of an SEC Financial Reporting Manager to be a pivotal player in our external reporting processes. This position is freshly minted and will take the lead in refining, implementing, and overseeing our periodic SEC reporting procedures. The selected candidate will work hand-in-hand with an experienced cadre of professionals in external reporting, accounting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities:

• Partner with leadership to navigate public company accounting and reporting mandates.
• Oversee the production and punctual filing of annual and quarterly financial statements in line with US GAAP and SEC rules.
• Coordinate with property managers and the internal accounting team to consolidate property level data for SEC filings, board reports, and other internal documents.
• Establish and update an SEC calendar and US GAAP checklists.
• Stay updated with changing accounting guidelines and prepare detailed technical accounting memos.

What You Bring to the Table:

• 6+ years in public/private accounting with real estate public companies or an SEC reporting role.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification.
• An innate ability to manage strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualities:

• In-depth understanding of real estate accounting in line with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards.
• Experience in a Public REIT or real estate public company financial reporting role.
• Familiarity with Workiva Wdesk.
