An Environmental Communications firm seeks a qualified Senior Associate Environmental Planner to join our environmental team.

The firm's environmental practice is molded on an integrated approach to public and private planning projects—environmental evaluation, design, and community outreach. They work closely with planning and design teams to identify environmental constraints early on, focus environmental documents on the important issues, and effectively involve stakeholders to build the support essential to bringing projects to fruition. They work with their clients to provide a document that captures the correct components that will pave the way for success throughout the entitlement process.

What you will do in this position? The Sr. Associate Environmental Planner will play a supportive role to the Project Managers. This position will be responsible for supporting various roles in the development and publication of environmental documents, including independently drafting of clear and concise CEQA/NEPA document sections that demonstrate a high level of technical analysis, conducting research, assisting in document production, and maintaining project files.

  • Experience: Minimum three years direct experience preparing CEQA/NEPA documentation, environmental planning, or in a related field
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Experience in environmental studies, urban planning, technical writing, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of CEQA fundamentals and land use policy
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly MS Word and Excel
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and have a current driver’s license and access to personal transportation
