About the Role
We’re supporting a well-established architecture firm in hiring an experienced Accounting Specialist (officially titled Accounting Clerk) to support day-to-day financial operations. This is not an entry-level role—we’re looking for someone with a strong grasp of AP/AR, billing processes, and timesheet tracking in a professional services environment.

This is a hybrid position based in San Francisco (2 days on-site per week).

What You’ll Do

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Review and input employee expense reports and vendor payments
• Handle client billing, check printing, and deposits
• Maintain vendor documentation (W-9s, payment platforms, etc.)
• Track and reconcile employee timesheets in Ajera
• Assist with month-end close and 1099 preparation
• Support the Controller with general accounting and admin tasks

What You’ll Bring

• 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (AP/AR, billing, and reconciliation)
• Experience working with project-based accounting systems
• Familiarity with Deltek Ajera and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proactive, organized, and accountable
• Bonus: experience in an architecture, engineering, or construction firm
