Job Title: Building Envelope Consultant

Location: San Francisco, CA (On-site role with travel to job sites)

Position Summary:

In this role, you will provide building enclosure consulting services to our clients, establishing and maintaining relationships with local and national clients. You'll be the primary client contact for projects involving new construction and existing building structures, covering the design and evaluation of various components such as below-grade waterproofing systems, plazas, exterior walls, fenestration systems, and roofing assemblies. Working closely with your local director, your responsibilities will include conducting condition assessments, investigations, design work, peer reviews, bid phase services, construction administration testing, and other typical building envelope services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage various building envelope projects from investigation to construction administration phase.
• Write proposals and scope of work descriptions for projects.
• Lead the team in developing building envelope contract documents, including technical specifications.
• Lead team during site inspections and report writing.
• Conduct peer reviews of enclosure details and specifications.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or similar.
• 5+ years of previous building envelope and waterproofing experience.
• Knowledge of various building enclosure systems, materials, and products.
• Experience in new construction building envelope design and technical analysis of existing buildings.
• Familiarity with ASTM & AAMA standards and testing procedures related to building envelope evaluation and waterproofing, including California Building Code requirements.
• Interest in business development strategies and ability to work directly with clients and other team members.
• Experience compiling response packages for RFQ/RFP requests.
