About the Role
We’re partnering with a mechanical contractor in Sacramento to hire a Project Manager with expertise in process piping systems. This hybrid role leads the full project lifecycle—estimating, procurement, execution, and field coordination—for high-purity and industrial piping projects.

You’ll oversee technical delivery, schedule, and budget—working closely with internal teams and clients to ensure quality and performance on every project. This is a client-facing leadership role that combines technical depth, project strategy, and strong communication skills.

Note: Candidates without direct experience managing process piping projects will not be considered.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage process piping projects from preconstruction through closeout

  • Oversee estimating, procurement, and contract development

  • Track and manage project financials: forecasting, billing, and cost control

  • Coordinate with clients, internal departments, subcontractors, and vendors

  • Ensure compliance with QA/QC standards, clean construction practices, and welding specs (orbital, high-purity systems)

  • Lead kickoff meetings, site walkthroughs, and regular stakeholder updates

  • Mentor junior team members and support training and recruitment initiatives

  • Stay informed on industry standards and construction best practices

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years managing or estimating process piping projects

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)

  • Proven success managing scopes from $50K to $25M+

  • Familiarity with high-purity piping materials: stainless steel (316L, 304L), PVDF, PFA, PTFE, etc.

  • Knowledge of clean construction protocols in pharma, biotech, or semiconductor facilities

  • Proficiency in systems handling gases, chemicals, and steam

  • Strong grasp of QA/QC methods, welding procedures, and contamination prevention

  • Skilled in client communication, coordination, and cross-functional team support

  • Ability to balance multiple priorities while supporting internal project development

Compensation:
Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. A full benefits package is included, and the hiring team is open to conversations around expectations and mutual fit.
