About the Role

We’re partnering with a leading mechanical contractor to hire a seasoned Project Manager with hands-on experience managing process piping projects in high-purity and industrial environments. Based in Phoenix, this hybrid role spans the full project lifecycle—from estimating and procurement to field coordination and client engagement.

You’ll lead teams across multiple disciplines, ensuring technical precision, budget accuracy, and schedule adherence. This is a highly collaborative, client-facing role suited for someone who brings both construction know-how and strategic oversight.

Note: Candidates without direct experience managing construction-side process piping projects will not be considered.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead full-cycle process piping projects from pursuit through closeout

  • Oversee estimating, procurement, contracts, execution, and field support

  • Manage project financials including forecasting, billing, and cost control

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams

  • Ensure QA/QC compliance, clean construction practices, and welding standards (e.g., orbital welding)

  • Facilitate kickoff meetings, site walkthroughs, and regular progress updates

  • Mentor junior team members and participate in training and recruitment

  • Stay current with evolving industry practices and technical innovations

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience estimating, designing, or managing process piping projects

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred)

  • Proven track record managing scopes ranging from $50K to $25M+

  • Familiarity with high-purity piping materials: 316L/304L stainless, PVDF, PTFE, PFA, etc.

  • Experience in semiconductor, pharmaceutical, or biotech construction environments

  • Proficiency with gas and fluid transport systems: nitrogen, oxygen, steam, chemicals

  • Deep knowledge of QA/QC, clean install methods, and non-contaminant practices

  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage internal and external stakeholders

  • Capacity to juggle multiple priorities while supporting internal team growth

Compensation:

The total compensation package is competitive and reflects experience, technical background, and leadership capacity. Full benefits are included, and the hiring team is open to thoughtful conversations around expectations and fit.
