Job Summary:

As the leader of the manufacturing plant, the Plant Manager is accountable for leading a team that meets or exceeds customers, productivity, quality, and financial goals. With the ultimate responsibility for the P&L of this location, the Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations and maintenance. This position supports company initiatives and balances strategic planning with day-to-day operational excellence.

The Plant Manager will establish and inspire a culture that embraces safety, teamwork, inclusion, accountability, employee development, and open communication in a manner that positively impacts our employees, customers, community, and key performance metrics.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all elements of day-to-day plant operations to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) commitments are met.
  • Develop and deploy long term (1-3 year) plant strategies that align with corporate objectives and targets.
  • Balance the day-to-day execution of operations with long term vision achievement.
  • Work across locations with other plant leadership to benchmark and share best practices and identify solutions to common challenges.
  • Refine or Establish plant standard operating policies and procedures.
  • Drives overall operational excellence through the application of Lean practices and processes.
  • Create and sustain healthy communication channels across departments and functions at all levels.
  • Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
  • Owns and deploys the culture of financial compliance and controls in alignment with the company's overall requirements and principles
  • Creates a strong operations talent base; partners with Human Resources to build talent management plans in support of long-range strategies and succession.

Qualifications/ Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, or equivalent field of study. Will consider someone with eight years' supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
  • A minimum of 10 years working in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Must have excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • US Citizen
