Our Client, one of the largest Hemp biomass processing and extraction facility, is seeking an experienced, dedicated and passionate Director of Post-Processing to join their team.

The Extractions Laboratory Director will oversee all production and quality assurance operations and personnel, including hiring, training, safety awareness, professional development and discipline. This job includes significant administrative and regulatory compliance duties.

The Director of Post-Processing must be a team-player and a respectful collaborator, always using their position to grow the company through the empowerment and development of others.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate and manage the high-throughput progression of CBD-ethanol slurry through winterization, filtration, ethanol recovery, distillation of the resulting crude oil using thin film distillate systems, and finally isolation of pure CBD crystals.
• Ability to resolve any conflict respectfully and in a timely manner, addressing and resolving problems in order to create a culture of engagement and high-performance
• Mentoring and discipline to ensure improvement of the team’s knowledge base on lab procedures and extraction methods, including safety awareness, knowledge of hazards, OSHA, Food Safety, company standards and quality control.
• Supports the organization by ensuring operations efficiency by implementing and constantly improving cost reduction strategies.
• The Director will strive to innovate optimize and refine processes to develop tools and protocols that are safer, cost-effective, and patent-able.

Skills and Education Requirements:

• Highly skilled and experienced in hemp or cannabis botanical extractions.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, engineering or related field required.
• Broad knowledge of scientific principles, theories, and technologies.
• Knowledge of management and organizational concepts, principles, and techniques with demonstrated professional assertiveness.
• Excellent critical thinking skills to be able to troubleshoot any issue with the processes and instrumentation.
• Strong math and computer skills, including ability to create and interpret data.

Compensation: $75 - $100K plus health benefits
