Our client, a leading Cannabis Dispensary located in the San Diego area, is seeking a high-performing Director of Sales responsible for the development of their corporate sales strategy, leading to an increased sales volume within their retail location.
The Sales Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer, and be responsible for communicating with a range of stakeholders including customers, staff, the board of directors, as well as recruiting, managing and training the internal sales support team.
This individual will have budgetary responsibility, and ensure that their sales volumes remain high and that prices are set at a sufficient level to make profits, leveraging the skills and capabilities of the sales team members to maximize profit, drive customer loyalty, and reach their full potential in achieving superior sales.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Determine annual unit and gross-profit plans by implementing KPI’s, marketing strategies and analyzing industry trends, while delivering a strategic sales program that is market-specific.
Forecast and develop sales quotas, and project expected sales volume and profit margins for existing and new products.
Maintain increasing sales volume, correct product mix, and sales prices by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Employee management for internal support team.
Create and implement development plans to help the team meet and exceed sales metrics, identifying any gaps and potential issues.
Act as a subject matter expert to provide ongoing training and awareness of the dispensary’s sales process, products and promotions.
Qualifications:
Strong track record in sales, with 5+ years of sales management experience in a related field
Expert analytical skills, experienced with sales reports and analysis
Without previous cannabis experience, must be extremely well informed, or able to gain the necessary knowledge about the cannabis market in order to accurately forecast sales predictions and shifts.
Must have previous experience in training Sales Associates.
Strong, well-developed interpersonal skills are required.
Location: San Diego, CA
Compensation: $55-65K Plus Performance Bonus
