Our client, a leading premium producer of top quality products in the cannabis industry, is seeking a Territory Sales Representative with proven success selling business to business in the cannabis industry in the Los Angeles area.
Reporting directly to the District Sales Manager, the Territory Sales Representative will be responsible for the distribution of our client’s products to licensed dispensaries throughout the Los Angeles area.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Identify potential clients in the target market through cold calling
Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
Clearly communicate the value of our client’s products
Plan and perform sales calls, appointments, and site visits
Close sales by building rapport with potential client; explaining product, overcoming objections
Negotiate contract terms with clients
Create distribution schedules to ensure products are delivered on time
Become a subject matter expert on our client’s business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
Prospect for new business, setting up a minimum of 5 outside meetings per week
Report weekly and daily sales results to District Sales Manager
Travel required (50% - 75%)
Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required
CRM experience required
Established sales and business connections to the owners and executives of premium licensed dispensaries
Extensive knowledge of cannabis products is required
2-5 years experience selling business to business
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successful track record of selling in the California cannabis market
Strong persuasion and interpersonal skills
Car required for travel to meetings with owners and vendors
Compensation: Draw/Salary plus Commission
