Social Media Senior Manager - Cannabis

Our client, a leading brand in the cannabis industry, is seeking a seasoned Social Media professional to join their growing team.

The Social Media Senior Manager will report to the Director of Customer Relationship Marketing, and work directly with leaders across digital marketing, product development, and celebrity ambassadors.

Among the most sophisticated technology suites in the industry and a fully stacked creative team, ensure the Social Manager is geared up for success.

This position requires a Manager who is results and detail-oriented, and thinking outside the box has to be the norm.

The ability to develop strategies backed with data and rationale then see them through to execution with flexibility is critical

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement social media strategies and best practices across multiple platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Periscope, YouTube, Pinterest, Instagram, Reddit, etc)

  • Manage social media campaigns and oversee day-to-day activities

  • Develop and implement creative and highly measurable social media programs and campaigns. This includes planning an editorial calendar, creative strategy and briefs and copyediting; Photoshop expertise is a plus

  • Own the user engagement and business impact of campaigns and communities; contribute to acquisition strategy and optimization

  • Develop influencer/advocate programs and maintain relationships

  • Own and update brand’s social media reporting program; communicate successes and lessons learned; actively “listen” to the social media community and regularly report findings

  • Identify opportunities, trends and features in the social media space; justify investments in new social media trends through business metrics and optimization and testing across brands

  • Work with the Marketing Team to support the integration of social features across our sites

  • Ensure that campaigns meet marketing objectives • Interface daily with marketing, analytics, and creative team members

Required Education and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in journalism, marketing, or Public Relations
  • 3-5 years of marketing, public relations or corporate communications experience, with 2+ years of direct social media experience
  • Proven success in launching and executing social media campaigns, including: Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, etc
  • An accomplished track record of digital initiatives driving content sharing, community participation, and lasting brand connections
  • A deep understanding of content and messaging optimization by channel, and how to best build a brand online
  • Copywriting skills; strong written communication skills
  • Experience measuring, analyzing, and presenting campaign and program performance against established business objectives
  • Working understanding of SEO and SEM
  • Extraordinary people skills and confidence working with cross-functional groups
  • Tenacity and thick skin, with the ability to turn input from all levels into improved output and greater results
  • Photo editing (Photoshop) skills a plus

Salary Range: $90-110K Plus Benefits
