POSITION: Algorithm Development Scientist

FULLTIME/PARTTIME: Fulltime

LOCATION: Remote, headquarters in Irvine, CA (need to be willing to travel to site once a quarter)

SCHEDULE: 40hrs M-F

SALARY RANGE: $100K – 250K DOE

DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 

• Designing instrumentation and methods for acquiring and analyzing diffuse optical spectroscopic data for noninvasive tissue oxygenation and blood flow measurements.
• Developing methods to enhance depth sensitivity of optical signals.
• Implementing time- and frequency-domain signal processing on optical data.
• Developing hemodynamic models to extract tissue blood flow and physiological parameters from optical signals.

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Experience with modeling optical simulations
• Utilizing diffuse optics, and experience using photons with moving fluids
• Minimum 3, preferably 5+ years’ experience in algorithm development
• Expertise in physiological data analysis and modeling methods
• Curiosity and a desire to learn emerging technologies.
• Working in a collaborative environment

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS:

 

• May on occasion be exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels, such as from office equipment.
• The ability to lift up to 30lbs
• Use of computers and technology
