One of the largest publicly traded companies in Orange County is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their finance team. This newly created role will report directly to the Senior Director of Accounting and will require a require a deep understanding of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and financial reporting standards. This is an excellent role for a Big 4 Associate coming out of public accounting and looking to join one of the largest publicly traded companies in Orange County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP
• Coordinate and manage the financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports for management and stakeholders.
• Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations to external auditors.
• Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor changes in financial regulations and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
• Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• 2+ years or Big 4 or Regional public accounting experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Proficient in financial reporting software and Microsoft Excel.
