A rapidly growing beauty products company is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their corporate accounting team. Situated in beautiful West Hollywood, this role will be on-site 3 days a week and work remote Monday's and Friday's. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager and focus on journal entries, account reconciliations and AP and AR. This is an excellent role for an up-and-coming Staff Accountant passionate about the beauty industry and looking to grow their career with a leading beauty brand.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations

• Assist with month-end close and reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts

• Maintain accounts payable including entering and coding vendor invoices, researching and resolving vendor inquiries and execution of annual 1099 reporting requirements
• Maintain accounts receivable including customer master files, application of customer payments and coding of customer deductions
• Work alongside the accounting manager to manage vendor aging and customer aging
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred, not required
• 1+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Public accounting foundation a plus, not required
• Strong background in AP and/or AR a plus
• Experience within the consumer products sector a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a self-starter
• Proficient with Excel
