Senior Fund Accountant - Tier 1 Commercial Real Estate/Private Equity Firm

A tier-1 commercial real estate private equity firm is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to help lead their Fund Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Fund Finance & Accounting, the Senior Fund Accountant will work on all financial accounting and reporting for company's real estate portfolio and institutional funds. Working closely with property accounting, treasury and portfolio management, the Senior Fund Accountant will also assist with financial planning and analysis, valuations, distributions, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with fund Administration team to review financial statements and accounting records across multiple funds, co-investments, and JVs in conjunction with annual tax and audit engagements.
• Provide insights and accounting guidance for complex investment structures
• Collaborate with Property Accounting team for guidance on property level financials
• Assist in proper accounting and structuring for acquisitions and dispositions
• Support fund level cash movement including wire transfers for acquisitions
• Complete analysis for our Executive team relating to acquisitions, dispositions, and active investments
• Create and review forecasted fund waterfalls, cashflows and IRR's
• Work with Investor Relations team to assist with benchmarking and performance tracking

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Fund Administration, Big 4 or large regional public accounting background a plus
• 2+ years of private funds accounting or fund administration experience
• Commercial real estate/property accounting background a plus
• Excellent communication skills and a team player
• Highly technical, with advanced proficiency across Excel
